Dreaming up, preparing, then implementing an overland expedition is a process, one that takes time, energy, creativity, some calculus and endurance. But it should also be fun, since all the preparations are already part of the adventure!
In the following pages, we're going to volunteer some information that we consider to be useful when thinking about such a trip - or starting to prepare for one. This website serves multiple purposes: it keeps family & friends informed about our whereabouts; it might yet inspire a few armchair travellers to get going - and it will help us after the trip to support our fading memories. We're planning on updating this site as we go along, so check back from time to time.
Apart from clearly labeled links to sponsors, there is no advertisement to be found on this site: all judgements we make on certain products are based on our own experience - and might therefore be subjective.
